HAMLET

says

"Ah, truly, for the power of beauty will sooner transform honesty from what it is to a bawd than the force of honesty can translate beauty into its likeness."

"Give me that man that is not passion's slave, and I will wear him in my heart's core, ay in my heart of heart."

hmm... Hamlet is point out the power of emotions over people's common sense. Feeling emotionally controlled, is it? LOL, sorry if I'm overanalyzing... hope all is well :)

Why do we consider lack of emotional control to be passion? Why is not passion controlled emotion? Excuse me Hamlet, but passion, to me, is not as simple as exerted emotion. It is an elegant focus, a sophisticated reign over the immaterial.

And, cannot beauty and honesty be the same thing? is he talking about physical beauty that has the power to convert honesty into a prostitute? sounds to me like a man who takes to philosophizing with his cock. If that makes any sense.
